Ancuta Elena Goia

Studio founder

Ancuta began her experience in the world of gymnastics at the age of 8 and at 12 joined the Romanian national rhythmic gymnastics team, winning the first individual national junior title. At the age of 14 she began to take part in international competitions, continuing to maintain the individual national title. At 16 she was a member of the Romanian Olympic team, participating in the Olympic Games in Barcelona.

At the age of 18, she temporarily left the competitions to enroll in the National University of Phisical Education and Sports (UNEFS) in Bucharest , where she graduated 4 years later while taking up again the competitive activity in the national team by participating in the world and European championships.

In this period, she began working with three famous American contemporary dance choreographers: Moses Pendelton, creator of Momix, David Parson and Daniel Ezralow with tours around the world.

At the suggestion of David Parson, she began her interest in the Pilates method, which resulted in the certification of an instructor taken in Den Hague with level 1 instructors Marjorie Oron and Sari-Mejia-Santo, daughter of Romana Kryzanowska.

In 2008, she opened True Pilates Milan, now Anca Pilates Milan.
